Judy Pelusi

Following years of teaching dance for other instructors, Miss Judy became owner, director, and principal dance instructor for nearly 35 years at DeSoto Dance and Karate, DeSoto, TX.  Recently, she retired and returned to Butler, PA.  Students under her tutelage learned ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics, from the beginner to the professional level. Miss Judy claims that her greatest rewards and honors were when young students from her early teaching years would later bring their own children to "Mrs. Pelusi" to learn dance - and sometimes, themselves rejoin classes as adults!  Her own training includes that from Andrea's School of Dance (Pittsburgh, PA), Butler University (Indianapolis, IN), American Ballet Theatre, and Luiji's Jazz (NYC, NY), Buster Cooper, and Ozsoy School of Ballet (Dallas/Duncanville, TX).  Her notable performances include Sugar Plum Fairy and Spanish Dancer (Nutcracker Ballet), Pas de Deux (Stars and Stripes Ballet), as well as parts from Rosamunde, Les Sylphides, and a key performer in the Dallas Senior Follies.
Fun Fact:  Miss Judy loves hiking in the woods!
